History
During the 2014–15 English Premier Ice Hockey League (EPIHL) season, the Basingstoke Bison finished third in the standings following an injury-plagued but competitive campaign. Coming off a highly successful playoff championship "double" the year prior, head coach Doug Sheppard opted to tweak rather than overhaul his roster. However, the team fell out of the title race following a rough mid-season slump and key player injuries.
Patrick "Ricky" Skene (born 27 April 1982) played for 16 seasons in the United Kingdom, capturing eight championships. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he holds dual British and American nationality and represented England internationally from the U12 to U20 levels.
