History
During the 2013–14 English Premier Ice Hockey League (EPIHL) season, the Guildford Flames entered with sky-high expectations but finished without silverware following an era of heavy roster transition. Coming off consecutive back-to-back "doubles" as league and cup champions, head coach Paul Dixon chose to keep a mostly identical roster. However, the team suffered a drop-off in consistency, ultimately relinquishing their domestic titles to fierce rivals.
Patrick "Ricky" Skene (born 27 April 1982) played for 16 seasons in the United Kingdom, capturing eight championships. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he holds dual British and American nationality and represented England internationally from the U12 to U20 levels.
